Hoevenen ist ein Stadtteil der Gemeinde Stabroek in der belgischen Provinz Antwerpen. Hoevenen war eine eigenständige Gemeinde bis zur Gemeindereform von 1977. Im 13. Jahrhundert wurde hier eine Pfarrei gegründet, als Abspaltung von der St.-Lambertus-Pfarrei in Ekeren. Um 1248 begann Gillis von Attenhoven mit der Eindeichung. Die Region hieß damals Attenhove oder Ettenhove. 1334 wurde zum ersten Mal der Name Hoeven verwendet. Die Bevölkerung war über eine Reihe von Weiler verstreut, aber Überschwemmungen zwangen sie, sich in einem höher gelegenen Bereich anzusiedeln.
