Hoevenen è una frazione del comune di Stabroek nella provincia belga di Anversa. Hoevenen era un comune autonomo fino alla riorganizzazione municipale del 1977. Nel XIII secolo qui fu fondato un parrocchia, come distaccamento della parrocchia di San Lamberto a Ekeren. Intorno al 1248 Gillis di Attenhoven iniziò il drenaggio. La regione era allora chiamata Attenhove o Ettenhove. Nel 1334 il nome Hoeven venne usato per la prima volta. La popolazione era dispersa su un certo numero di villaggi, ma le inondazioni li costrinsero a stabilirsi in una zona più alta.
