Kapelle-op-den-Bos ist ein Ort und eine Gemeinde in der Provinz Flämisch-Brabant in Belgien. Die Gemeinde hat fast 9000 Einwohner. Der Bürgermeister ist Leo Peeters (sp.a).
Einige Fabriken wie Eternit, Feryn und Sanpareil sind in der Gemeinde ansässig. Sie sind hier aufgrund der guten Lage angesiedelt; es gibt die wichtige Bahnlinie Gent-Dendermonde-Mechelen, den wichtigen Brussels-Schelde-Kanal und Kapelle-o/d-Bos liegt auch zentral zwischen der A 12 und der E 19 sowie Städten wie Mechelen, Antwerpen und Brüssel.
Es gibt auch 2 große Schulen für dieSekundarstufe, das Sint-Theresiacollege Kapelle-op-den-Bos (STK) der Patres Assumptionisten und das Sint-Godelieve-Institut (SGI) der Schwestern von Unsere Liebe Frau von den Sieben Wehen. Das ist viel im Verhältnis zur Einwohnerzahl. Die Nachbargemeinde Meise ist eine größere Gemeinde und hat fast doppelt so viele Einwohner, bietet jedoch keine Sekundarstufe an.
