Der Donkmeer (auch bekannt als Overmere-donk) hat eine Wasserfläche von circa 86 Hektar und ist damit der größte See in Flandern. Der See entstand, weil zwischen dem 17. und 20. Jahrhundert im Gebiet das Moor abgebaut wurde.
