Het Donkmeer (ook bekend als Overmere-donk) heeft een wateroppervlakte van circa 86 hectare en is daarmee het grootste meer in Vlaanderen. Het meer is ontstaan doordat tussen de zeventiende en de twintigste eeuw in het gebied het veen werd weggestoken.
