Die Provinz Ostflandern hat ein wunderbares Sportzentrum an der 6 km langen Boerekreek gebaut. Der Oostpolderkreek (2 km) und der Bentillekreek (2,5 km) sind in der Nähe. Durch dieses Naturschutzgebiet fließt der Leopoldskanaal von Boekhoute bis Heist, der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts gegraben wurde, um das Wasser und somit auch die Moorkrankheit aus dieser Region zu entfernen. In Richtung Knotenpunkt 82 radeln wir durch ein geschütztes Gebiet für Brutvögel. Bitte genießen Sie respektvoll dieses natürliche Stück Flandern!
