Vor dem 15. Jahrhundert wurde hier bereits mit der Gewinnung von Mergelblöcken aus dem Untergrund begonnen. Die Steine wurden für den Bau der lokalen Kirchen und Burgen verwendet. Das Ergebnis ist ein beeindruckendes unterirdisches Gang- und Höhlensystem von mehr als 300 km. Eine Ausstellung von Blockarbeitermaterial zeigt dir, wie die Blöcke nach oben geholt wurden. Wandmalereien von prähistorischen Tieren schmücken die Wände. In der unterirdischen Champignonzucht erhältst du Informationen über den Anbau von Champignons und machst Bekanntschaft mit der Lagerung des Grottenbiers.
