Die Kirche ist die der Trappistenpatres von Chimay. Der Orden befindet sich dort seit 1850.Die Kirche ist Teil einer Reihe von Bauten, zu der ein gastwirtschaftlicher Betrieb und die Unterkünfte der Patres. Die Kirche wurde im Laufe der Zeit mehrmals umstrukturiert und renoviert.
Heutzutage präsentiert sie sich vornehm und in absoluter Schlichtheit. Das Innere lädt zu Andacht und Gebet ein. Man hat bewusst den Eindruck von Strenge und Schmucklosigkeit betont: nur wenige Statuen, hohe Pfeiler und gänzlich weiße Mauern. Das Chorgestühl ist aus Eichenholz und die Mönche versammeln sich hier täglich sieben bis acht Mal zum Gebet. Dabei blicken sie in Richtung auf einen gekreuzigten Christus im Kirchenchor von großer Einfachheit. Die liturgischen Gesänge sind von eindrucksvoller Resonanz.
Die Besucher können an den Gottesdiensten teilnehmen.
