In diesem Gebiet werden 66 Prozent des europäischen Luftfrachtaufkommens abgewickelt. Eingestuft in die Top zehn der größten Luftfracht-Umschlagplätze europaweit liegt der Flughafen Lüttich hinter den Flughäfen Frankfurt , Amsterdam , Paris und Köln/Bonn auf dem achten Platz.
