Diese beeindruckende Ruine darf man nicht verpassen! Das Schloss, gelegen auf einem steilen Felsen, war einst im Besitz von Gwijde von Dampierre. 1554 wurde die Burg von den Truppen Heinrichs II., dem König von Frankreich, geplündert und niedergebrannt, der mit Kaiser Karl im Krieg war. Seitdem war Montaigle der Willkür der Natur überlassen. 1965 wurde die belgische Regierung Eigentümer der romantischen Ruine. Es ist ein 'außergewöhnliches wallonisches Erbe'.
