Der Veltwijckpark bildet das grüne Herz von Ekeren, in dem sich auch das Bezirksamt befindet. Es war ursprünglich ein Schlossgelände. Das Hauptgebäude im traditionellen Back- und Sandstein-Stil, bestehend aus einem U-förmigen Wasser-schloss aus dem 16. Jahrhundert, liegt innerhalb eines rechteckigen Parks, der von Gräben umgeben ist. Es ist über eine gepflasterte Lindenallee mit der Veltwijcklaan verbunden. Seit 1929 gehört das Gelände zu Ekeren und der Park wurde für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht. Bis vor einigen Jahren gab es auf dem Gelände an der Lindenlei auch ein Fußballstadion. Dieses wurde mittlerweile abgerissen und wieder als offenes Grasfeld zum Park hinzugefügt.
