Description

Zugelassene Hof d'Intere, nach Ambrosius de Dynter, der 1444 Wechelderzande als Lehen erhielt, siehe Gemeindeeinleitung. Der heutige Anblick stammt aus dem Jahr 1649, als das im 16. Jahrhundert erbaute Schloss von Johan de Proost, dem damaligen Herrn von Wechelderzande, umgebaut wurde; 1686 wurde es Eigentum des Pfarrers von Wechelderzande; mehrmals wurden Restaurierungsarbeiten durchgeführt, unter anderem nach einem Entwurf von J. Van Gastel von 1867, bis 1964 als Pfarrhaus genutzt; ab 1977 Rathaus und seit der Fusion mit Lille als Gemeindezentrum mit Bibliothek und Park genutzt.
