Im Scheepvaartmuseum Baasrode, Sint-Ursmarusstraat 137, 9200 Baasrode, wird der neue Baasroodser Botter Rosalie gebaut. Die Aalbotter sicherten den Transport von Aal aus den Niederlanden nach Baasrode und ins Hinterland bis 1925. Das Schifffahrtsmuseum baut eine Nachbildung der Rosalie, eines der vierzehn damaligen Botter. Das Schiff hat eine Länge von 16,20 Metern und wird etwa 30 Tonnen wiegen und verfügt über einen Bun, einen "nassen Raum", in dem der Aal lebend transportiert wurde. Die voraussichtliche Wasserung wird 2018 sein und kann dann für Ausflüge reserviert werden.
