In the Maritime Museum Baasrode, Sint-Ursmarusstraat 137, 9200 Baasrode, the new Baasrode botter Rosalie is in the pipeline. The eel flounders ensured the supply of eel from the Netherlands to Baasrode and the hinterland until 1925. The National Maritime Museum is building a replica of the Rosalie, one of the fourteen botters at the time. The ship has a length of 16.20 and will weigh about 30 tons and has a bun, a "wet hold", in which the eel was transported alive. The expected launch will be 2018 and will then be able to be reserved for excursions.
