Mariken von Nieumeghen und der Teufel Moenen hielten sich der Legende nach sieben Jahre in der Gaststätte Inden Guldenen Boom am Markt auf. Diese soll an der heutigen Nummer 25 der Großen Markt gestanden haben (das vierte Gebäude von links auf dem Foto). Dort befindet sich jetzt eine Rekonstruktion aus dem Jahr 1965 eines Barockgebäudes, das an anderer Stelle in Antwerpen gestanden hat. Darin befindet sich ein italienisches Restaurant.
