Turfbelevungsort Mikvaart
An der Kreuzung an der Kraaienberg mit der Kievitstraße liegt ein sehr schöner Rastplatz.
Es ist nach dem Thema "TORF" gestaltet. Dort findest du wunderschöne Holzskulpturen eines Torfstechers, eines Torfträgers und eines Torfboots. In der Eisen-Veenpaal findest du neben einem wunderschönen Gedicht von Geert De Coockere auch ein Infotafel darüber, wie Torf transportiert wurde.
Dieses Projekt entstand durch die Zusammenarbeit des Regionalen Landschafts der Voorkempen, der Gemeinde Essen und VVV De Tasberg.
Für Radfahrer und Wanderer ist es ein angenehmer Ruheplatz mit Sitzbänken geworden, um all dies zu genießen.
