Hier in Les Fallaises bei Rochehaut stürzte Mathieu Lallemand am 22. Juni 2003 und erlag später seinen Verletzungen.
Er ist Gründer des Wandervereins Randonée Sauvage . Interessanterweise war die erste Reise, die er jemals organisierte , eine Reise hierher zu den Wasserfällen am 19. September 1977.
Randonnée Sauvage möchte Mathieus Geist am Leben erhalten und organisiert Spaziergänge, Wanderwochenenden und einen Sommerspaziergang.
Die Gedenktafel befindet sich entlang des GR16 auf dem Passeig de les Scales , einem sehr abenteuerlichen Wanderweg in Belgien. Das Fahrgeschäft wurde mehrmals geschlossen, weil es zu gefährlich war, aber seit der Investition von 75.000 Euro in eine neue Treppe Ende 2015 ist das Fahrgeschäft sicher für jeden, der die Angst überwinden kann.
