Das älteste Café von Hoegaarden ist zurück. Den Venetiaen hat die Türen wieder am Gemeenteplein geöffnet. Die Betreiber Paul 'Toets' Thielemans und Dirk De Wolf hatten das Café während der Umbauarbeiten vorübergehend zur Brug verlegt, aber das erneuerte Den Venetiaen ist jetzt wieder an dem vertrauten Ort geöffnet. "Es war fantastisch an der Brug. Alle unsere Stammgäste haben sich die Mühe gemacht, dorthin zu kommen. Es sind sogar einige Kunden dazugekommen." Im erneuerten Café wird auch das hauseigene Bier gezapft: Venetiaens blond, ein Tripel vom Fass.
