El café más antiguo de Hoegaarden ha regresado. Den Venetiaen ha reabierto sus puertas en la Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Los propietarios Paul 'Toets' Thielemans y Dirk De Wolf trasladaron temporalmente el café a la Brug durante las obras de remodelación, pero el renovado Den Venetiaen ya está abierto de nuevo en su lugar habitual. "Fue fantástico en la Brug. Todos nuestros clientes habituales se tomaron la molestia de venir hasta allí. Incluso se ha sumado un número de clientes." En el café renovado también se servirá su propia cerveza: Venetiaens blond, una tripel de barril.
