Dieses Gebiet befindet sich rund um das Tal des Maarkebeek, auf dem Gebiet der Dörfer Etikhove, Edelare, Leupegem und Maarke-Kerkem. Im Süden des Ankerplatzes schlängelt sich der Maarkebeek. Der Bach wird oft von begleitender Ufervegetation gesäumt. Nördlich davon liegt ein steiler Hang mit Böschungen, der größtenteils unter Wiesenflächen liegt. Auf dem Gipfel des Hügels liegt die Kouter, ein offenes Ackerlandgebiet. Hohlwege kommen am Hang und auf dem Hügelgipfel vor. Der 'Naamloze Boom' gehört ebenfalls dazu.
