Yvette Dardenne is a buxidaferrophile: she collects illustrated metal boxes. She owns almost 60 000 original specimens of these from all the continents, and she’s not done yet! Her impressive collection can be explored by appointment. Set aside at least two hours to progress through the various buildings that house this fabulous treasure. Launched randomly, this hobby turned as the years and acquisitions progressed into an all-consuming passion, as even the Guinness Book of Records testifies. Today, the impressive accumulation of items truly represents a slice of History, by way of their themes, their various shapes or the use that was made of them, from the 19th century to the present day. So much so that Yvette Dardenne is regularly called on for thematic exhibitions throughout the world...
