Dieser alte Sandsteinbruch der Famennon-Formation liegt am linken Hang des Tals des Baches Triffoy (oder Goesnes), in der Nähe seiner Mündung in den Hoyoux. Die Stätte umfasst typischerweise eine in den Hang gefräste Grube und unterhalb davon die Halden, die am Hang des Tals angeordnet sind. Aufgrund seiner allgemeinen Ausrichtung nach Südosten stellt dieser gut besonnte Steinbruch einen günstigen Lebensraum für Reptilien (Population von Mauereidechsen) und andere wärmeliebende Arten dar (zum Beispiel die Heuschrecke Phaneroptera falcata).
