Die Mastendreef ist die Grenze des Gebiets Sterbos. Von Masten ist jetzt nichts mehr zu merken, aber im letzten Jahrhundert wurde experimentell Schwarzkiefer angepflanzt. Jetzt stehen dort Kastanienbäume, soweit man sehen kann. Dieser Weg war Teil einer Schmuggelroute. Während des Krieges jedoch nahmen die Deutschen hier Posten ein und die Männer mussten stets ihre Schmuggelware abgeben. Die Frauen ließ man unbehelligt... naiv?
