Fort 1 ist das einzige Brialmontfort, das vollständig verschwunden ist. Es wurde 1959 gesprengt, um die Turnhoutsebaan gerade zu ziehen. 1993 entstand im südlichen Teil der Festungsfläche das Wijnegem Shopping Center. Der nördliche Teil erhielt eine neue Nutzung als Waldgebiet.
