Die runde, steinerne Getreide-Windmühle steht auf einem Mühlenberg und wurde 1905 als Ersatz für eine hölzerne Pfahlmühle gebaut, die durch einen Sturm umgerissen wurde. Die ersten Erwähnungen einer "Coorenwindmuehle" stammen aus dem Jahr 1571. Es gab auch eine kleine Rossmühle, die von einem Pferd angetrieben wurde.
Die steinerne Getreide-Windmühle blieb bis 1958 in Betrieb. Sie war bereits 1945 unter Denkmalschutz gestellt worden. 1984 wurde die Umgebung zum geschützten Dorfbild erklärt. Sie wurde von 1972 bis 1975 gründlich restauriert, konnte jedoch nicht mehr drehen, da das Innere abgebaut wurde. Die Mühle wird seitdem auch als Wohnraum genutzt. Noch im Jahr 2008 wurde eine gründliche Reparatur durchgeführt, bei der die Flügel (ca. 24 m) in Feierstellung (St.-Andreas-Kreuz) gesetzt wurden.
