Dies ist einer der Ankerblöcke der ursprünglichen "Türme" des Antennenparks mit 8 Masten von 284 Metern Höhe und 400 Metern Abstand. Sie hatten eine Grundfläche von 2,5 mal 2,5 Metern und wurden mit 28 Spannseilen gerade gehalten.
Am 30. Dezember 1933 prallte ein Flugzeug der Linie Köln-Brüssel-London gegen einen der Masten und zwei Drittel der 284 Meter hohen Pier stürzten ein.
Eines Nachts im Juni 1940 stürzte ein deutscher Bomber in den Südostturm. Der Turm und das Flugzeug stürzten ab.
Als im August 1940 ein Flügel eines deutschen Bombers ein Kabel traf und abstürzte, wurde beschlossen, vier Türme vollständig und zwei teilweise abzureißen . Das letzte Maststück wurde am 23. Juli 1979 abgerissen.
