Das Kriegerdenkmal auf dem Friedhof neben der Sankt-Mauritius-Kirche in Varsenare erinnert an die militärischen und zivilen Opfer des Ersten und Zweiten Weltkriegs .
Auf dem Sockel befindet sich eine Bronzestatue des Heiligen Mauritius , der als römischer Soldat gekleidet ist und sich auf sein Schwert stützt.
Anlässlich des 100. Jahrestages des Ersten Weltkriegs und zum Gedenken an die Gefallenen dieses Krieges wurde eine Gedenktafel mit dem Text angebracht:
"1914 - 1918 - 2014 - 2018 / EINHEIT MACHT MACHT / DANKBARER ERINNERUNG AN SIE / DIE ERSTEN IM WELTKRIEG GEFALLEN / FÜR FREIHEIT UND DEMOKRATIE / WEGEN DES VIZEPRIMEMINISTERS UND / DES VERTEIDIGUNGSMINISTERS DES LANDES PIETER DE CREM".
