Die Windmühle wurde 1215 von Lord Jean de Thimougies erbaut .
Es wurde 1606 durch einen Hurrikan zerstört . Es wurde wieder aufgebaut und 1771 durch einen Sturm erneut zerstört . Der Müller baute es wieder auf und die Mühle war bis 1926 in Betrieb. 1943 wurde das Gelände von der Royal Commission for Monuments and Sites unter Denkmalschutz gestellt.
Am Donnerstag, den 10. Januar 2008, stürzte die Mühle erneut ein . Am Freitag, 1. April 2022, wurde es umgebaut und eingeweiht.
Die Windmühle kann gegen Gebühr im Rahmen einer halbstündigen Führung besichtigt werden.
