Das Schloss ist die prominenteste Sehenswürdigkeit hier in der Stadt. Das erste Schloss wurde im 11. Jahrhundert erbaut und im 13. Jahrhundert verstärkt, als Durbuy im Norden des Countys Luxemburg lag. Im 18. Jahrhundert kam das Schloss in den Besitz der Adelsfamilie d’Ursel. Sie ließen es 1731 umbauen. Das Schloss erhielt sein heutiges Aussehen nach einer Restaurierung im Jahr 1880. Das Anwesen gehört immer noch der Familie d’Ursel. Trotz all dieser Veränderungen und der Veränderungen in der Stadt ist die Lage des Schlosses immer gleich geblieben. Ein Felsen in der Mitte des Tals mit einem großen Schloss, in Kombination mit der Atmosphäre, die Durbuy hat, kann immer noch sehr viele Menschen begeistern.
