Die Hoogstraat-Erdbeeren gelten als die besten und schmackhaftesten des Landes. Mit einer Jahresproduktion von über 25 Millionen Kilo ist Hoogstraten das unbestrittene Zentrum des Erdbeeranbaus. Die Erdbeerroute veranschaulicht die Bedeutung von Landwirtschaft und Gartenbau in dieser Region. Sie verbindet das historische Zentrum von Hoogstraten mit dem schönen Mark-Tal und den weiten Landschaften der belgisch-niederländischen Grenzregion. Sie radeln an vielen Gewächshäusern mit Erdbeeren und Erdbeerfeldern vorbei. Haben Sie schon einmal eine Portion superfrischer Erdbeeren aus einem Automaten gepflückt? Das ist Ihre Chance!
