Diese kurze, flache Verbindungsetappe führt von der ehemaligen Befestigung Waterschei ins Stiemerbeek-Tal und anschließend durch ausgedehnte Waldgebiete. Ungefähr auf halber Strecke passierst du eine ehemalige Kindersiedlung, die jetzt ein gemütliches Café/Restaurant (De Kolonie) ist. Du überquerst die Autobahn über das erste „Eco-Recreadukt“ in Flandern und nach dem Golfplatz Spiegelven erreichst du Kattevennen.
