Der Boelarebos ist ein Waldgebiet südlich der Dender und in Radfahrerkreisen eine berüchtigte Kopfsteinpflasterpiste. De Rietbeemd ist das einzige Naturschutzgebiet in unserem Land, das sich über flämisches und wallonisches Gebiet erstreckt. Am Eingang des Flugplatzes Overboelare steht eine Douglas C-54A Skymaster, die als Clubhaus dient. Am ersten Wochenende im August können Sie hier eine spektakuläre Flugshow mit Vorführungen von Segelflugzeugen und fliegenden Oldtimern erleben.
