Die Schneekoppe ist mit 1603,2 m n.m. die höchste Erhebung des Riesengebirges. Sie ist der höchste Berg der Sudeten, der Mitteleuropäischen Mittelgebirgsschwelle und Tschechiens. Über ihren Gipfel verläuft die Staatsgrenze zwischen Polen und Tschechien. Vor 1945 war die Schneekoppe der höchste Berg Preußens und der deutschen Mittelgebirge.
