Bad Vilbel [ˈfilbəl] ist mit 34.905 Einwohnern die bevölkerungsreichste Stadt im hessischen Wetteraukreis und grenzt an den nördlichen Stadtrand von Frankfurt am Main. Sie ist für ihre Mineralquellen überregional bekannt.
Bad Vilbel liegt auf einer Höhe von 109 m über NN an der Südspitze der Wetterau, einem aufgrund seiner sehr fruchtbaren Böden seit der Jungsteinzeit besiedelten Landstrich zwischen Taunus und Vogelsberg. Ihr Ende bildet die im Süden Bad Vilbels befindliche Erhebung Schöllberg mit der Siedlung Heilsberg und der Stadtgrenze nach Frankfurt.
