Bad Soden am Taunus ist eine Stadt mit 23.036 Einwohnern im hessischen Main-Taunus-Kreis im Regierungsbezirk Darmstadt. Die Stadt liegt an den Südhängen des Taunus und ist ein Teil der Stadtregion Frankfurt, der größten Agglomeration im Rhein-Main-Gebiet. Als Reichsdorf war es im Mittelalter bekannt für Salz und Warmquellen, später bis zu den 1990er-Jahren als ein international bekannter Kurort. Heute ist Bad Soden ein Ort mit Heilquellenkurbetrieb sowie ein wichtiger Wohn- und Arbeitsraum westlich der Stadt Frankfurt am Main. Wie die benachbarten Städte Königstein im Taunus und Kronberg im Taunus ist Bad Soden für seine gehobenen und teuren Wohnlagen mit einer Reihe von Villen bekannt. Zudem wies die Stadt Bad Soden am Taunus im Jahr 2020 einen weit überdurchschnittlichen Kaufkraftindex von 170,3 des Bundesdurchschnitts auf und nimmt damit einen bundesweiten Spitzenplatz ein.
