Eningen unter Achalm ist eine Gemeinde am Fuß des Albtraufs, unmittelbar östlich von Reutlingen. Sie gehört zur Region Neckar-Alb und zur europäischen Metropolregion Stuttgart. Der Ort ist nicht zu verwechseln mit der Gemeinde Ehningen im Landkreis Böblingen. Eningen ist mit seiner gesamten Gemarkung ein Teil des Biosphärengebiets Schwäbische Alb und des UNESCO Geoparks Schwäbische Alb. Eningen ist eine durch das Landratsamt Reutlingen rezertifizierte Gesunde Gemeinde.
