Waldeck ist eine Kleinstadt im nordhessischen Landkreis Waldeck-Frankenberg. Sie ist anerkannter Luftkurort und trägt seit dem 13. September 2021 die amtliche Zusatzbezeichnung Nationalparkstadt in Bezug auf den naheliegenden Nationalpark Kellerwald-Edersee.
Überregional bekannt ist Waldeck durch seine Lage am Edersee inmitten des Waldecker Berglandes bzw. im äußeren Einzugsbereich des Naturpark Kellerwald-Edersee, durch das Schloss Waldeck, das Wahrzeichen der Stadt Waldeck sowie des Landkreises Waldeck-Frankenberg, und durch die bei Nieder-Werbe gelegene Halbinsel Scheid.
