Deuben liegt zwischen Weißenfels und Zeitz an der Nödlitz. Als Ortsteile der Ortschaft sind Deuben , Naundorf sowie Wildschütz ausgewiesen.
Der Ort wurde im Jahr 1071 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt; 1300 ist der Ort im Zinsregister Weißenfels genannt.
