Lindenau ist eine Gemeinde im südbrandenburgischen Landkreis Oberspreewald-Lausitz. Sie gehört zum Amt Ortrand.
Lindenau ist die westlichste Gemeinde der Oberlausitz an der Grenze zum Schraden. Sie liegt am Kalmusteich, westlich des Ortes fließt die Pulsnitz. Nördlich liegt die Gemeinde Tettau und im Nordosten die Gemeinde Frauendorf. Im Südosten grenzt Lindenau an die Stadt Ortrand mit Burkersdorf. Südlich liegt die Gemeinde Großkmehlen mit dem Gemeindeteil Frauwalde. Im Westen grenzt Lindenau an die Gemeinden Großthiemig und Schraden, die bereits zum Landkreis Elbe-Elster gehören.
