Bad Säckingen ist eine Kurstadt im Landkreis Waldshut in Baden-Württemberg am Hochrhein, etwa 35 km flussaufwärts von Basel gelegen.
Bad Säckingen liegt am Hochrhein, der hier die Grenze zur Schweiz bildet. Die Stadt befindet sich am südlichen Rand des Hotzenwalds, der der südliche Ausläufer des Schwarzwalds ist. Zur Stadt gehört auch ein Teil der Fridolininsel im Rhein, deren Territoriumszugehörigkeit lange ungeklärt war. 2013 wurde in einem neuen Staatsvertrag festgelegt, dass sie künftig zu Deutschland gehören soll.
