Mittelhof ist eine Ortsgemeinde im Landkreis Altenkirchen in Rheinland-Pfalz. Sie gehört der Verbandsgemeinde Wissen an.
Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts besaß die Gemeinde Blickhauserhöhe drei Bergbaubetriebe, in denen Eisen- und Kupfererz gefördert wurden. Durch die ständig wachsende Nachfrage an Erzen und der damit einhergehenden Nachfrage an Arbeitern stieg die Bevölkerung zu dieser Zeit rasch an.
