Ilvesheim ist eine Gemeinde im Rhein-Neckar-Kreis in Baden-Württemberg mit etwa 9200 Einwohnern. Sie ist ein Teil der Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar, eines Ballungsraums mit 2,4 Millionen Einwohnern.
Das im Jahr 766 erstmals urkundlich erwähnte Ilvesheim gehörte jahrhundertelang zur Kurpfalz. Im 20. Jahrhundert entwickelte sich der Ort am Neckar zu einer Wohngemeinde, deren Einwohner zum Großteil in der benachbarten Großstadt Mannheim arbeiten.
