Wiedenbrück war eine selbstständige Stadt in Nordrhein-Westfalen, die 1970 im Zuge der Kommunalreform mit der Stadt Rheda und den umliegenden Gemeinden Batenhorst, Lintel, Nordrheda-Ems und St. Vit zur Stadt Rheda-Wiedenbrück zusammengeschlossen wurde.
Die ehemals selbstständigen Städte Rheda und Wiedenbrück sind durch die Bundesautobahn 2, die jedoch nicht die historische Grenze zwischen den beiden Stadtteilen bildet, voneinander getrennt.
