Treuenbrietzen ist eine Kleinstadt im Landkreis Potsdam-Mittelmark im Südwesten des Landes Brandenburg im Fläming. Sie ist Mitglied der Arbeitsgemeinschaft „Städte mit historischen Stadtkernen“ des Landes Brandenburg.
Treuenbrietzen -“ oder aber siehe unter „Geschichte“) liegt an der Nieplitz zwischen dem Fläming im Südwesten und dem Glogau-Baruther Urstromtal im Norden. In der Stadt kreuzten sich der alte Handelsweg von Berlin nach Leipzig und der möglicherweise noch bedeutendere von Magdeburg über Jüterbog nach Osten und Südosten. Es liegt 17 km südwestlich von Beelitz, 23 km westlich von Luckenwalde, 21 km nordwestlich von Jüterbog, 32 km nordöstlich von Wittenberg und 20 km östlich von Bad Belzig.
