Niedernhausen () ist eine Gemeinde im Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis des Regierungsbezirks Darmstadt von Hessen mit knapp 15.000 Einwohnern. Sie liegt im Naturpark Rhein-Taunus, im westlichen Teil des Rhein-Main-Gebietes und grenzt unmittelbar an die Landeshauptstadt Wiesbaden.
Die Ortsteile Niedernhausen und Königshofen erstrecken sich an den Hängen eines Tals. Der Ortskern liegt in der Talsohle. Die Taunus-Gemeinde ist umgeben von Mischwald, der rund 60 Prozent der Gemarkungsfläche bedeckt.
