Laubach ist eine Kleinstadt im mittelhessischen Landkreis Gießen mit 9569 Einwohnern, davon rund 6000 in der Kernstadt.
Die Stadt an der Wetter hat einen unregelmäßigen Grundriss. Der Hauptkomplex der Siedlung liegt rechts des Flusses. Von Norden mündet ein Seitental ein. Das Stadtbild wird dominiert vom Schloss mit Park im Norden. Im Südwesten schließt sich die ehemals ummauerte Altstadt mit nahezu quadratischem Grundriss an. Vor der Stadtkirche befindet sich ein kleiner Marktplatz. Eine jüngere Wohnsiedlung liegt im Osten, eine moderne Wohnsiedlung im Nordwesten. Im Westen erstreckt sich entlang der Bahnlinie ein Industriegebiet.
