Gützkow ist eine Landstadt im Landkreis Vorpommern-Greifswald in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Sie gehört zum Amt Züssow und bildet für ihre Umgebung ein Grundzentrum.
Gützkow liegt 20 km südlich der Kreisstadt Greifswald und jeweils 28 km westlich von Wolgast und nordwestlich von Anklam. Südlich wird die Stadt von der Peene begrenzt. Durch das Stadtgebiet fließt die Swinow, die südlich von Gützkow in die Peene mündet. Die Swinow wurde seit 2011 in ihrem Lauf saniert, es wurden beginnend am Unterlauf Überschwemmungsflächen angelegt, die gleichzeitig als Feuchtbiotope dienen. Teilweise wurde der Lauf in die natürlichen Mäander zurückgeführt. Im östlichen Teil des Stadtgebiets befindet sich der Kosenowsee.
