Buckau ist ein Stadtteil der sachsen-anhaltischen Landeshauptstadt Magdeburg. Auf einer Fläche von 2,1803 km² leben 6240 Einwohner .
Buckau liegt unmittelbar an der Elbe gegenüber dem südlichen Teil des Landschaftsparks Rotehorn. Im Norden schließt sich an der Erich-Weinert-Straße und der Schönebecker Straße Richtung Harnackstraße bzw. der Steubenallee der Stadtteil Altstadt an, während im Süden die Grenze zu Fermersleben der Schanzenweg und dessen Verlängerung zum Elbufer bildet. Des Weiteren gehört der Gebäudekomplex der Erich-Weinert-Straße 5 zum Stadtteil, welcher durch Protestaktionen einer Bewohnerin vom Stadtteil Leipziger Straße losgelöst werden konnte.
