Die Vahr ist ein Stadtteil von Bremen und gehört zum Stadtbezirk Ost. Sie gehört zu den Ortsnamen, die im Deutschen mit Artikel benutzt werden. Charakteristisch für den Stadtteil ist die Bebauung mit vielen Wohnblocks sowie die vielen Grünflächen. Ebenso gibt es kleine Seen und Fleete, wodurch in der Vahr auch viele Enten und andere Kleintiere leben. Der Stadtteil ist in den öffentlichen Personennahverkehr integriert, so dass die Innenstadt mit der Straßenbahn oder dem Bus innerhalb von maximal 30 Minuten erreichbar ist. Zur guten Verkehrsanbindung trägt außerdem die Nähe zur A 27 bei.
