Gleisweiler ist eine Ortsgemeinde im Landkreis Südliche Weinstraße in Rheinland-Pfalz. Sie gehört der Verbandsgemeinde Edenkoben an, innerhalb derer sie gemessen an der Einwohnerzahl die fünftkleinste Ortsgemeinde darstellt. Gleisweiler ist ein staatlich anerkannter Erholungsort.
Der Weinbauort liegt 9 km südlich von Edenkoben zwischen dem Biosphärenreservat Pfälzerwald und dem Rhein. Westlich erstreckt sich die Haardt, wie der Ostrand des Pfälzerwaldes genannt wird. Nachbargemeinden sind – im Uhrzeigersinn – Burrweiler, Böchingen, Frankweiler, Böchingen , Flemlingen und Walsheim .
